Sarah Patterson, CPA, is a Manager at Faw Casson, working primarily from our Dover, Delaware office. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Washington & Lee University, which laid a solid foundation for her analytical and problem-solving skills. She obtained additional credits in accounting from Wilmington University in order to satisfy the requirements to complete her CPA Exam.
As a compassionate professional, Sarah finds immense satisfaction in helping her clients. One of the things she enjoys most about her role is alleviating their stress. By staying vigilant in monitoring tax filing, planning, and addressing any related issues, she ensures that her clients can focus on running their businesses without the burden of financial concerns.
A self-proclaimed “rule-follower”, Sarah knows how to keep the Is dotted and Ts crossed. She is very detail oriented and makes sure that our clients are following the tax law down to the letter, while still getting every reduction in tax liability that is due to them. She is thoughtful and reserved, and gives problems the time and consideration they deserve before lending her opinion or advice.
Beyond her work at Faw Casson, Sarah serves on the board of The Elizabeth W. Murphey School, a foster home in Dover, demonstrating her commitment to improving the lives of disadvantaged youth. Additionally, Sarah dedicates her time to the Kent County Committee of Read Aloud Delaware, a state-wide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting early literacy. Furthermore, she serves as the Treasurer of the Delmarva Youth and Family Institute, a new nonprofit initiative that fosters youth leadership within local communities.

Outside of the office, Sarah finds joy in a diverse range of activities. She is an avid reader and cherishes quality time with her family. To maintain a healthy and active lifestyle, Sarah takes kickboxing classes, which not only contribute to her physical well-being but also serve as a stress-relieving outlet. Furthermore, she has a deep appreciation for the arts and frequently attends musical performances in both New York City and Philadelphia.
